Former President Donald Trump has now reportedly directed harsh criticism towards The New York Times, specifically targeting chief White House correspondent Peter Baker.
In a recent post on Truth Social, Trump referred to Baker as “Liddle’ Peter Baker,” branding him a “bad writer” and a “sycophant.”
He accused the newspaper’s editorial team of being “SICK” and “TRUMP DERANGED,” claiming they exploited Baker to produce “long and boring fake news hit pieces” against him.
Trump’s disdain was not limited to Baker; he also criticized Maggie Haberman, another White House correspondent for The Times, and Susan Glasser, Baker’s wife and co-author of the book The Divider, which chronicles Trump’s first term.
Trump shared his sentiments in a lengthy rant, where he stated, “The Failing New York Times insists on using Liddle’ Peter Baker… to write many of the long and boring Fake News hit pieces against me.”
He added that Baker’s talent was eclipsed only by that of his wife and Haberman, whom he called “Maggot Hagerman,” suggesting that she might be the least talented writer at The Times.
This latest outburst follows a series of articles from The New York Times scrutinizing Elon Musk and his potential conflicts of interest as he collaborates closely with Trump as the head of the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE).
Both Baker and Haberman have been instrumental in covering Trump’s administration, revealing significant insights into his domestic and foreign policies.
Trump’s comments reflect his ongoing battle with the media and his grievances regarding coverage he perceives as biased against him.
