Megyn Kelly launched a fiery 11-minute monologue targeting George Clooney during her show on SiriusXM, criticizing the actor’s recent comments about her journalistic credentials.

The feud began after Clooney, while promoting his Broadway role as Edward R. Murrow, questioned Kelly’s career in a discussion with actress Patti LuPone, saying he had been shot at while covering stories in war zones, implying that she hadn’t done the same.

Kelly responded sharply, mocking Clooney’s self-image as a journalist, stating, “He’s starring in a play about Edward R. Murrow because Clooney fancies himself a journalist.”

She accused him of “cowardice and naked partisanship,” particularly in light of his op-ed in the New York Times urging President Joe Biden to step aside.

She argued that Clooney only addressed Biden’s mental fitness after significant political damage had already occurred, suggesting that he buried the crucial story for weeks before speaking out.

In her critique, Kelly emphasized that Clooney’s actions were not those of a responsible journalist but rather indicative of a partisan agenda.

She questioned his motivations for transitioning to Broadway, suggesting that he might be struggling to secure Hollywood roles as he ages.

Additionally, Kelly did not hold back in criticizing LuPone, whom she referred to as “Broadway’s biggest and oldest bully.”

To defend her own journalistic credentials, Kelly recounted significant interviews she has conducted throughout her career, including conversations with Donald Trump and everyday citizens.

In closing, Kelly asserted that Clooney’s attempts to position himself as a serious journalist were transparent and unconvincing, stating, “You’re not fooling anyone.”
