Fox News has reportedly now contacted former President Donald Trump and Vice President Kamala Harris to offer them an additional opportunity to engage in a debate in the days leading up to the election.

The presidential candidates were granted the opportunity to participate in a debate in Pennsylvania on either Thursday, October 24, or Sunday, October 27.

This announcement was made by Fox News Media on Wednesday. According to the news channel, the debate would be moderated by Martha MacCallum and Bret Baier.

Neither candidate had publicly committed to either of the debate dates proposed by Fox News as of Wednesday afternoon. According to reports, at Madison Square Garden in New York, Donald Trump will conduct a rally on October 27.

Wallace and Loker cited a request from New York Times Opinion Senior Editor David Swerdlick for Harris to participate in a debate with Trump on Fox News in their comments.

Harris declined to participate in a debate with Trump on Fox News on September 4. The debate on September 4 was originally scheduled to feature President Joe Biden and Trump on ABC.

However, Biden withdrew from the race after his disastrous debate against Trump on June 27.

For Trump’s part, two days following their initial encounter on the debate stage, the Republican nominee declared that he would not participate in any further debates with Harris.

It’s remains unclear whether either Trump or Harris will be open to another debate this far into election season however.
