Aaron Berman, a 17-year veteran of the CIA, was reportedly elevated to “Head of Elections Policies” at the organization that is now known as Meta. He previously had a prominent role in Facebook’s “misinformation” division during the 2020 election.
CIA employee Berman worked there from March 2002 through July 2019.
He contributed to and edited the President’s Daily Brief, a significant top-secret report created by the American intelligence community and delivered to the president every morning.
Berman reportedly received a promotion to “Head of Elections Policies” at Facebook last month.
He departed the organization in 2019 and joined Facebook, where he rose to the position of senior product policy manager for “misinformation.”
Although Berman does not specify what these “critical events” were, his tenure in Facebook’s “misinformation” division occurred during the period leading up to the 2020 presidential election, when Facebook and other social media platforms censored prominent Republican figures and conservative news sources under the direction of organizations with ties to deep state agencies.
The FBI, specifically, alerted Facebook of an impending “Russian propaganda dump” just before the New York Post published the first of its pieces on Hunter Biden’s laptop, according to Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg.
Facebook and other prominent social media platforms swiftly took down the report, which was later shown to be entirely true.
