According to a recent survey, Donald Trump is now by far the front-runner among Republicans in Kentucky. The former president has a 56-point lead over the competition.
In a poll of Kentucky Republican primary voters conducted by Emerson College Polling and Fox 56 Lexington, Trump received support from 70% of participants.
The poll results showed a significant movement in favor of Trump since April, with the former president receiving 8% more support than in April. Support for DeSantis fell by nine percent.
According to the survey, Kentucky Attorney General Daniel Cameron (R), who has Trump’s support, is now leading the crowded Republican primary race for governor of Kentucky.
With 33% of the vote, Cameron received roughly 16 points more support than the next-place contender.
In the GOP primary election, around 13 percent of voters were still unsure. Tuesday is the primary election day.
After Trump’s appearance at a CNN town hall, the survey was done in part.
Between April 10 and April 12, a survey of 500 highly likely Republican primary voters in the state was conducted; its margin of error was 4.3%.
