Republican Kari Lake’s petition to see certain votes prior to the trial in her challenge to the Arizona governor election results was reportedly granted by a court in Maricopa County, Arizona.
Judge Peter Thompson of the Maricopa County Superior Court accepted three of Lake’s requests for the county’s random ballots on Thursday.
50 randomly selected “ballot-on-demand” printed ballots that were cast on Election Day, 50 randomly selected early ballots from “six separate Maricopa County batches,” and 50 randomly selected ballot-on-demand printed ballots that were marked as spoiled were the three categories of ballots Thompson authorized Lake’s team to examine.

The judgment further stipulated that the inspection must be carried out in a way that does not in any way obstruct any current recount of the results of the 2022 election.
Lake submitted a challenge to the election last week.
Democrat Katie Hobbs, who was declared the winner of the contest last week, has not received her concession.
Lake lost to Hobbs by over 17,000 votes.
