Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s nomination for the position of secretary of Health and Human Services (HHS) reportedly had Colorado Governor Jared Polis (D) “excited.”
“I’m excited by the news that the President-Elect will appoint @RobertKennedyJr to @HHSGov. He helped us defeat vaccine mandates in Colorado in 2019 and will help make America healthy again by shaking up HHS and FDA,” Polis wrote in a long post on X.

He expressed his desire that Kennedy refrain from implementing any vaccine restrictions, despite the fact that he has been a vocal proponent of this policy measure through his anti-vaccine organization, Children’s Health Defense.
The Colorado governor then elaborated on the reasons for his enthusiasm, stating that he hoped for a reduction in the cost of prescription medications and the elimination of the nutrition department at the FDA.
“He will face strong special interest opposition on these, but I look forward to partnering with him to truly make America healthy again and I hope that we can finally make progress on these important issues,” Polis said in conclusion.
