Trump Predicts Biden Will Stay in Because ‘Nobody wants to give that up that way’

On Monday, former President Trump stated that he felt President Biden would continue to run in spite of requests from some elected Democrats for him to withdraw after a dismal showing in the debate last month.

“It looks to me like he very well may stay in. He’s got an ego, and he doesn’t want to quit. He doesn’t want to do that. It just looks to me like that’s what he wants.” Trump said during a recent appearance with Fox News’ Sean Hannity.

Trump said Vice President Harris will replace Biden as the nominee in the event that Biden withdraws.

“I think Jill would like to see him stay. She seems to be having a good time,” Trump continued.

“I think he might very well stay in and if he does– nobody wants to give that up that way. He’s going to feel badly about himself for a long time. It’s hard to give it up that way — the way where they try to force him out,” he concluded.

However, he claimed that because Biden won the vast majority of delegates in the primary, he “has all the authority.”

After his June 27 debate with Trump, in which Biden repeatedly faltered to finish his sentences or deliver any offense on topics like abortion and the economy, Biden has come under heavy fire from Democrats.

While many other Democratic members have stated that Biden needs to demonstrate he is capable of running a more intense campaign in order to defeat Trump in November, a few of House Democrats have indicated Biden should resign as the nominee or forecasted he would lose to Trump.
