Following his conviction in the contentious Manhattan District Attorney’s Office criminal case against him for an alleged hush-money payment he made during the 2016 election, former President Donald Trump uploaded a new video to social media on Thursday evening.
The decision is the result of a weeks-long courtroom battle in which Trump claimed that he was the victim of “political persecution.”
“This is the final battle. With you at my side, we will demolish the deep state, we will expel the war mongers from our government. We will drive out the globalists, we will cast out the communists, Marxists, and fascists; we will throw off the sick political class that hates our country. We will rout the fake news media and we will liberate America from these villains once and for all.” Trump says in the new video, which was posted to his Truth Social account.

The hush-money trial resulted in the former president’s conviction on all 34 charges.
