Former President Donald Trump has now reportedly returned to the social media giant Facebook more than two years after having been kicked off the platform in the wake of the January 6th Capitol riot.

Until Friday, the most recent post that Trump had made was from January 6, 2021, which was the day when protesters forcefully stormed the Capitol building in an effort to halt the certification of President Biden’s election victory.

The next day, Meta removed Trump from both Facebook and Instagram, claiming the danger that his posts posed to further escalation of violence.

In January, the business made the announcement that it will reinstate both of Trump’s Facebook and Instagram accounts.

They also stated that he would recover the ability to post to each platform’s respective millions of followers.

In addition to this, the corporation stated that it will implement preventative steps to reduce the likelihood of future perceived infractions from Trump.
