Trump Mocks Haley as She Prepares Presidential Run

Former President Trump reportedly mocked Nikki Haley, his former UN ambassador, on Wednesday ahead of her expected announcement that she will run for President in 2024.

The former South Carolina governor is set to declare her candidacy for president later this month, making her the second Republican to formally enter the Republican primary and the first to confront Trump.

In a post on his Truth Social site, he took one of his first shots at Hillary since news of her rumored 2024 White House run broke.

 

Trump had recently took shots at Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, who many expect to be Trump’s most formidable challenger for the 2024 GOP nomination, claiming that if he decided to run for president it would be a sign of ‘disloyalty.’

Nikki Haley is a former American diplomat and politician who served as the United States Ambassador to the United Nations from 2017 to 2018 and as the Governor of South Carolina from 2011 to 2017.

Haley is known for her hawkish foreign policy views and her criticism of U.N. policies she saw as anti-Israel.

Haley served as the governor of South Carolina from 2011 to 2017. During her tenure, she focused on creating jobs and improving the state’s business climate, which she did by cutting taxes and regulations

Haley gained national attention for her handling of the Charleston church shooting as Governor in 2015 and her support of removing the Confederate flag from the State House grounds after the incident.
