President Donald Trump reportedly did not hold back in his criticism of Minnesota Governor Tim Walz during a recent interview when he addressed Walz’s assertion that he could “kick the ass” of most Trump supporters.
After Fox News reporter Peter Doocy highlighted Walz’s comments, Trump responded with a blunt dismissal, labeling Walz a “loser.”
Trump’s remarks came in reaction to Walz’s declaration about Trump supporters, which he made earlier while on a tour across the country, aiming to critique the Trump administration and discuss the upcoming 2024 election.
“Oh boy, he’d be in trouble,” Trump said, emphasizing his view that Walz’s bravado was misplaced.
Continuing with his critique, Trump elaborated, stating, “Well, he’s a loser. You know, I mean, the guy’s a loser. He lost an election.”
He commented on Walz’s role as a vice presidential nominee, suggesting that he played a negative part in the campaign of Kamala Harris and Joe Biden, which Trump contended ultimately hurt their chances. “They didn’t have a great group,” Trump noted, positioning Walz at the bottom of that hierarchy.
When asked whether he had heard about President Biden’s plans to re-engage in political fundraising against Trump policies, Trump responded affirmatively, saying, “I hope so.”
Walz, for his part, has been vocal about his belief in providing Americans with better alternatives rather than merely criticizing Trump. He has acknowledged the failure to win the previous election while emphasizing the need for a more attractive campaign message moving forward.
This exchange reflects the ongoing tensions between Trump and Democratic leaders as the political landscape gears up for the 2024 elections.
