During an interview on Tuesday, President Trump reportedly criticized various media outlets that have been too hyper critical of him. He even referred to a prominent ultra-liberal cable network as “the enemy.”
Public Broadcasting Service (PBS), the Associated Press, and CBS News were the three news organizations that the president singled out as being among those who he believes have treated him unfairly and are opposed to his agenda.
He railed at CBS for an interview that it broadcast with former Vice President Kamala Harris prior to the election in November, accusing the media company of altering the interview in order to portray his Democratic opponent in a favorable light.
“It’s a big con job. And they are so bad for the country, so dangerous and so bad. And the media is so bad. When I watch MSNBC — which I don’t watch much, but you have to watch the enemy on occasion — the level of … arrogance and cheating, they are just horrible people.” Trump said during a recent interview on Fox News.
“And they start up with the Constitution. They couldn’t care less about the Constitution. CNN, likewise. I mean, I watch them asking questions with the hatred, and I said, ‘Why are you asking the question with such anger? You’re asking me a normal question.’ But you see the bias. The bias is so incredible.” Trump added.
Recently, the publication made the decision to make available a complete transcript of the interview.
In recent weeks, it appears that President Trump has increased the intensity of his attacks on various media outlets.
He has gone so far as to threaten to utilize the authority of the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) to revoke the broadcast licenses of far-left outlets.
Additionally, he has sued CBS over the Harris interview and barred the Associated Press from entering crucial areas of the White House.
In addition,Trump signed an executive order that would give the White House more authority over independent regulatory bodies, such as the Federal Communications Commission.
