According to a recent poll in New Jersey, President Donald Trump is more popular than Democratic Gov. Phil Murphy.
The results of a poll conducted by Emerson College and published on Thursday indicate that 48 percent of respondents have a good opinion of Trump, while only 46 percent have an unfavorable opinion of him.
The remaining six percent were apathetic.
Trump had a tiny advantage over Murphy, who was regarded positively by 44% of people and unfavorably by 42% of people, according to these figures.
In addition, there were 12% of people who had no opinion regarding the governor, and 2% of people who had never ever heard of him.
The results are truly incredible considering New Jersey historic bias for left-wing and liberal candidates in the past.
In the poll, respondents were evenly divided on whether or not they believe the state is moving in the right way.
Additionally, voters in New Jersey were questioned regarding the controversial congestion pricing system in New York City, which has resulted in the implementation of a $9 toll for motorists entering Manhattan’s central business area to pay.
A poll conducted by Emerson found that 57% of respondents in New Jersey were against the legislation. As an individual, Murphy has voiced his opposition to congestion pricing, describing it as a “disaster” and pushing President Trump to take action.
The good figures for Trump come many months after a presidential contest in the Garden State that was unexpectedly close.
Despite the fact that Senator Kamala Harris, who was serving as Vice President at the time, defeated Donald Trump by a margin of 52-46, NJ.com reports that this six-point advantage represents the strongest performance by a Republican presidential candidate in more than three decades.
The state was a loss for Trump in both of the elections that came before it by a significant margin.
