President Joe Biden’s potential as the Democratic Party’s nominee for the 2024 election was openly questioned by former President Donald Trump on Tuesday.
Tuesday evening in Davenport, Iowa, during a town hall hosted by Fox News anchor Sean Hannity, Trump voiced his skepticism.
“I personally don’t think he makes it,” Trump said during an exchange with Hannity.
“Okay, I haven’t said that, I’m saving it for this big town hall. I personally don’t think so. I think he’s in bad shape physically. Remember when he said I’d like to take him behind the barn? If he took me behind the barn and I went like this [blows], I believe he would fall over. I believe he would fall over.” he continued.
For the purpose of accommodating his age, Biden now ascends the VC-25, which serves as Air Force One, via a distinct set of stairs.
On November 5, former President Barack Obama advisor David Axelrod published a post on X in which he voiced apprehensions regarding Biden’s 2024 presidential campaign, citing unfavorable polling data.
In multiple national surveys Biden has fallen behind Trump for the very first time.
Arizona and Michigan, both of which Trump won in 2016 but lost in 2020, are also swing states where he currently holds the lead.
In addition, professor Cornel West and environmental advocate Robert F. Kennedy Jr., both of whom are running as independents, present significant third-party challenges for Biden.
Additionally, Jill Stein, the 2016 Green Party presidential candidate, has declared her intention to re-establish the party’s nomination in 2024.
