Trump turned himself in at a Miami courthouse on Tuesday afternoon to face federal criminal charges related to special counsel Jack Smith’s probe into his handling of secret U.S. government records.
Trump reportedly pleaded not guilty to 37 felony counts of retention of national defense information, attempting to obstruct the investigation, and lying to investigators when he appeared before federal Magistrate Judge Jonathan Goodman in the Southern District of Florida.
Trump allegedly had his fingerprints electronically copied by law enforcement, but he was not handcuffed or photographed for a mug picture.

Walt Nauta, the former president’s personal assistant, put off entering a plea in the case because he had trouble locating a local attorney.
Withholding a document or record, corruptly concealing a document or record, concealing a document during a federal investigation, scheme to conceal, and making false statements and representations were among the charges brought against Nauta.
