Podcaster Patrick Bet-David issued a chilling warning on his Monday podcast, saying he believes Elon Musk will be assassinated.
Bet-David, a prominent voice in MAGA circles, said he fears a crazed leftist will kill the SpaceX and Tesla chief, pointing to what he described as a relentless barrage of negative media coverage. He suggested that coverage is driven by Musk’s close alignment with Republicans and President Donald Trump.
According to Bet-David, the violence began with the murder of conservative activist Charlie Kirk last year, and Musk is now at the top of the list.
“They took out Charlie. The next guy for them to have to take out is gonna be this guy,” Bet-David said.
The podcaster made clear he is not alone in his concerns. He said the “main conversation” among guests at the wedding of Sean Hannity and Ainsley Earhardt last weekend centered on how much security Musk needs. Bet-David added that if he were in Musk’s shoes, he would be so concerned about a potential killer that he would have someone taste all of his food before he ate it.
“I’m telling you, they’re not going to let this guy live,” Bet-David said. “This guy is a threat to the entire globalist movement.”
Bet-David said his grim outlook was reinforced by the weekend’s news coverage of Musk, which followed the billionaire’s acknowledgment that he temporarily restricted Ukraine’s Starlink access because President Volodymyr Zelensky was using it for nefarious purposes.
Musk explained the decision in a post on X.
“Ukraine military violated Starlink terms of service and used it for offensive drone strikes to kill people. That loophole was closed last week,” Musk wrote. “Starlink remains critical to the defense of Ukraine, as it is the only system that cannot be jammed or blown up, at least for now. Were Starlink to be turned off, the Ukrainian front line would collapse immediately. This is NOT a threat, it is simply a statement of fact.”
Bet-David said the move angered liberals, along with anyone who relies on Apple News for information, which he argued never offers a right-wing perspective.
He pointed to other developments he said have upset progressives, including Musk’s $1 billion investment in David Ellison’s Skydance, the new parent company of CNN. Those moves come as Musk has poured $445 million into helping Republican candidates win the midterm elections in November.
Bet-David argued the hostility toward Musk makes no sense, saying the world’s richest man is using his fortune to help humanity rather than simply enjoying a life of luxury.
“Do you think Elon’s just trying to do this because he wants to live in a massive house and put parties together and be famous? Or do you think he’s a true believer?” Bet-David asked. “Do you think he’s just a capitalist for money?”
