President Donald Trump issued a stark warning to Iran on Wednesday, announcing that a “massive Armada” is moving toward the country and urging the regime to negotiate what he described as a fair and equitable deal before time runs out.
In a Truth Social post published Wednesday morning, Trump said the naval deployment is already underway and framed it as a direct response to Iran’s refusal to come to the negotiating table.
“A massive Armada is heading to Iran,” Trump wrote. “It is moving quickly, with great power, enthusiasm, and purpose.”
The president said the goal of the show of force is to pressure Tehran into talks, particularly over its nuclear ambitions.
“Hopefully Iran will quickly ‘Come to the Table’ and negotiate a fair and equitable deal – NO NUCLEAR WEAPONS – one that is good for all parties,” Trump said. He warned that the window for diplomacy is closing fast.
“Time is running out, it is truly of the essence!” Trump added.
Trump referenced his past military action against Iran, reminding the regime of the consequences of refusing to negotiate. He pointed to what he called “Operation Midnight Hammer,” a prior U.S. strike that he described as inflicting major destruction after Iran ignored earlier warnings.
“As I told Iran once before, MAKE A DEAL!” Trump wrote. “They didn’t, and there was ‘Operation Midnight Hammer,’ a major destruction of Iran.”
The president escalated the warning further, making clear that any future military action would be even more severe.
“The next attack will be far worse!” Trump said. “Don’t make that happen again.”
He ended the post with his trademark sign-off: “Thank you for your attention to this matter!”
The message comes as Iran continues to face widespread unrest, with reports indicating that thousands of people have been killed amid ongoing demonstrations and crackdowns. Trump has repeatedly weighed in on the situation, at times signaling support for protesters while also warning Iranian leaders of serious consequences.
Earlier in the unrest, Trump claimed that “help” was “on the way” to those protesting the regime and threatened military action if demonstrators were killed. He later appeared to soften that stance, declaring that “the killing in Iran is stopping” and indicating he would accept an invitation from Iranian leaders to engage in talks.
Trump’s latest warning suggests that while diplomacy remains an option, it is backed by the credible threat of force. The president has consistently argued that pressure, not concessions, is the only way to deal with Tehran.
The Truth Social post echoed comments Trump made last week while speaking to reporters aboard Air Force One as he returned from the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland. At that time, he acknowledged that U.S. military assets were already being positioned in the region.
“We’re watching Iran. We’re watching Iran,” Trump said during the flight. “You know, we have a lot of ships going that direction just in case.”
The renewed rhetoric underscores Trump’s approach to Iran, which blends public warnings, military deterrence, and the possibility of negotiations. By announcing the movement of a large naval force and tying it directly to Iran’s nuclear program and internal violence, Trump signaled that the administration is prepared to escalate if Tehran refuses to change course.
For now, the president is once again demanding a deal — and making clear that the alternative, in his view, would be far more devastating for Iran.
