President Donald J. Trump on Tuesday accused the Biden administration of deliberately targeting the late conservative activist Charlie Kirk and his youth organization, Turning Point USA, through politically motivated investigations.

In a late-night post on his Truth Social platform, Trump denounced the administration as “corrupt and incompetent,” claiming that the Justice Department had been deployed to undermine Kirk and silence the movement he built.

“Why was the wonderful Turning Point under INVESTIGATION by ‘Deranged’ Jack Smith and the Corrupt & Incompetent Biden Administration?” Trump wrote. “They tried to force Charlie, and many other people and movements, out of business. They Weaponized the Justice Department against Sleepy Joe Biden’s Political Opponents, including ME!”

The president argued that the pattern of targeting extended beyond Kirk, citing his own ongoing legal challenges. He accused one judge of presiding over a trial despite his daughter’s role as “the biggest fund raiser for Biden and Kamala, making many Millions of Dollars for herself and her family.” Trump added that the judge not only refused to recuse himself but also imposed “a gag order on me, not allowing ANY talk about their family corruption and unprecedented conflict of interest.”

“Every leading legal analyst and pundit said this trial was wrong and should not have been allowed to go forward,” Trump declared. “But it did because of a Corrupt Judge who will hopefully pay a very big price for his illegal actions, someday!”

Trump’s accusations were bolstered by disclosures from Senator Chuck Grassley of Iowa, the ranking Republican on the Senate Judiciary Committee. Grassley revealed that the FBI’s 2020 election-related probe—codenamed Arctic Frost—had issued subpoenas for dozens of Republican-linked groups, including Turning Point.

Grassley described the operation as “a vehicle by which partisan FBI agents and Department of Justice prosecutors could achieve their partisan ends and improperly investigate the entire Republican political apparatus.”

The FBI has not explained why Turning Point USA was included in the sweep. Reports suggested that Kirk’s platforms had amplified Trump’s claims of fraud in the 2020 election, a factor that may have drawn scrutiny. But to many Republicans, the probe reinforced suspicions that the federal government has been leveraged to harass political opponents rather than enforce the law impartially.

Founded by Kirk in 2012, Turning Point grew into a powerful hub for conservative student activism, building a network of chapters across campuses and energizing young voters.

The organization played a visible role in boosting Republican turnout, particularly during Trump’s 2024 presidential campaign.

That momentum came to a halt last week when Kirk, 31, was assassinated while hosting an event at Utah Valley University. Police identified the suspect as 22-year-old Tyler Robinson.

Authorities have yet to release details of a motive, though the killing has fueled further debate over political violence directed at conservatives.

For Trump, the timing of the revelations underscored what he called the “weaponization” of government against those who stood in his corner.

By his account, the Justice Department’s actions were not isolated mistakes but part of a larger campaign against the conservative movement Kirk embodied.
