Elon Musk reportedly intensified his public feud with the Trump Justice Department on Monday.

In a flurry of posts on X, the platform he owns, he mocked a recently released memo that found no evidence of a secret “Epstein client list” or wrongdoing by third parties, calling the developments “the final straw” and alleging a coordinated government “cover-up.”

The memo, issued by the Department of Justice and FBI, reaffirmed longstanding official conclusions that Jeffrey Epstein died by suicide in August 2019, found no proof of a blackmail scheme involving prominent individuals, and indicated that no new arrests were warranted.

Surveillance footage from Epstein’s cell further supported that no one entered or exited the area at the time of his death.

Musk seized upon the report with sharp irony — posting a meme mocking the absence of arrests and labeling Saturday night’s official release as another pit stop in a long list of unfulfilled disclosures. He wrote: “What’s the time? Oh look, it’s no‑one‑has‑been‑arrested‑o’clock again.”

Another widely shared post featured a meme of a man applying clown makeup, underscoring Musk’s belief that the public had been misled.

Critics noted that Musk’s timing was telling. His attacks came amid an escalating rift with President Donald Trump, following Musk’s formation of a new “America Party” and Trump’s aggressive criticism of it.

Musk has previously implied that Trump’s name appeared in Epstein-related documents—an assertion he later deleted amid mounting backlash.

He demeaned Attorney General Pam Bondi and other conservative voices who had previously promised explosive Epstein revelations, branding their claims as hollow theater.

While some voices on the right have echoed Musk’s frustration—accusing the DOJ and FBI of misleading the public—the investigation remains a flashpoint.

Many conspiracy theories continue to swirl around Epstein’s network, and frustrated demands for transparency persist.

Federal officials, for their part, have maintained that the memo reflects the full scope of their findings and that no credible evidence remains hidden.

Musk’s remarks are a further escalation of his highly public break with the Republican establishment—and with Trump in particular.

Having once supported Trump’s agenda, Musk now positions himself as a crusader for transparency and oversight, while continuing to challenge both major parties.

As his political influence grows, Musk’s rhetorical weaponry—memes, posts and public rebukes—continues to shape the narrative. Whether it leads to deeper journalistic inquiry or official accountability remains uncertain.

For now, he has cast profound doubt on a high-profile federal investigation, claiming that key truths are being withheld—and that millions of Americans are owed more than a sanitized memo.
