Donald Trump certainly has his own style. The president-elect marked Thanksgiving with a pointed message early Thursday, blending celebration of his recent electoral victory with sharp criticism of his political opponents.
Posting on Truth Social, Trump expressed gratitude to all Americans, including what he referred to as “Radical Left Lunatics,” accusing them of trying but failing to harm our country.
The message served as a call back to one of the most famous Trump tweets of all time, mimicking his 2012 message wishing a “Happy Thanksgiving to all — even the haters and losers!”

After his decisive victory over Vice President Kamala Harris earlier this month, Trump has moved quickly to set the stage for his second term. Securing the majority in both the Electoral College and the popular vote, Trump has made history as the second president to serve two nonconsecutive terms.
Among his initial moves are the imposition of tariffs on goods from China, Mexico, and Canada, which he said are aimed at combating drug trafficking. On Wednesday evening, Trump also highlighted talks with Mexico’s President Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo about migration and drug control, claiming they agreed to effectively close the U.S.-Mexico border to migration.
Trump’s Thanksgiving message stood in stark contrast to that of outgoing President Joe Biden, who shared a reflective video and a simple note, “With hearts full of gratitude: Happy Thanksgiving, America.” Biden, who had withdrawn from the presidential race earlier in the year after a poor debate performance against Trump, expressed thanks for the trust Americans had placed in him during his tenure.
