According to a recent survey of prospective voters in Florida, former President Trump is currently leading Vice President Harris by a mere four points.
The Marist poll, which was published on Thursday, indicates that Trump has 51 percent support and Harris has 47 percent support in the state.
One percent of likely voters are undecided, while one percent support the candidate of another party.
In 2020, President Biden held an 11-point advantage over Trump among Florida independents.
Currently, Harris leads Trump by 55 percent to 41 percent among independents.
The most recent poll is consistent with recent national polling that indicates a modest increase in the Democratic Party’s support among white voters, while Black and Latino voters are moving away from the party.
Since 2020, when he garnered 46 percent of the Latino vote in Florida, Trump’s level of support among Latino voters has increased.
Currently, the most recent survey indicates that Trump is leading Harris by 58 percent to 40 percent among Latino likely voters in Florida.
Harris, on the other hand, maintains a 76 percent to 24 percent advantage among Black voters; however, she fails to achieve the 89 percent support that Biden garnered in Florida in 2020.
Trump leads Harris by 53 percent to 45 percent among white likely voters; however, he is unable to duplicate his 2020 support of 62 percent.
The most recent poll also indicates a 15-point gender disparity between the candidates. Trump leads Harris among men, 55 percent to 43 percent, and Harris leads Trump among women, 51 percent to 48 percent.
The poll indicated that there was a 12-point gender disparity between Trump and Biden in 2020.
The poll was conducted from October 3-7 and consisted of interviews with 1,257 likely voters in Florida. The margin of error is 3.6 percentage points.
