In the most recent national poll released by Fox News, Vice President Harris is now reportedly leading former President Trump by two points.
The poll, which was released on Wednesday, indicated that Harris received 50% of the national vote, while Trump received 48%.
This represented a three-point shift from early August, when the former president maintained a one-point lead over the Democratic nominee, with a 50 percent to 49 percent margin.
The most recent survey also represented Harris’s first time surpassing the 50% support threshold.
The most significant change since last month was observed by Fox News’ pollsters among independent and Hispanic voters.
In the August poll, Trump maintained a 51 percent to 43 percent lead among independent voters; however, they now supported Harris 51 percent to 39 percent.
Similarly, Hispanic voters supported the Republican nominee 52 percent to 46 percent last month; however, they now support Harris 55 percent to Trump’s 43 percent.
Nevertheless, the former president maintained a lead over Harris in the critical battleground states, which are more significant in determining the 2024 election’s outcome than the national popular vote.
The poll indicated that Trump maintained a 50 percent to 48 percent advantage over the vice president in the combined battleground states of Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, Nevada, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin.
The questionnaire was conducted from September 13-16 among 1,102 registered voters nationwide, with 876 of them being likely voters.
The margin of error for results that are based on both the complete sample and the subsample of likely voters is 3 percentage points.
