On Thursday, Cochise County, Arizona, deputies apprehended the Arizona man who is accused of making threats to assassinate former President Donald Trump.

According to News Nation correspondent Ali Bradley, Ronald Lee Syrvud, 66, was apprehended by authorities during Trump’s visit to Arizona to address the southern border crisis.

Syrvud was charged with a sex offender violation upon his detention, as he had an outstanding warrant for felony failure to register as a sex offender.

Bradley stated that the 66-year-old male may also be charged with making alleged threats toward Trump, subject to an ongoing investigation.

The Republican nominee expressed his appreciation for the Secret Service agents who were tasked with his protection and stated that he was not taken aback by the alleged death threat.

The purported assassination threats are made just six weeks after Trump was fatally shot by a potential assassin during a rally in Pennsylvania.

Trump is scheduled to conduct a rally in Glendale on Friday, following his visit to the southern border on Thursday.
