Robert F. Kennedy Jr., a lifelong Democrat, is now reportedly said to have offered to join a hypothetical Kamala Harris presidential government as a Cabinet secretary in exchange for giving her campaign his endorsement.
Kennedy, whose independent candidacy has stalled after showing some promise at the start of the primary season, had stated earlier this year that the Biden-Harris administration was a “much worse threat to democracy” than Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump.
He emphasized that the Biden-Harris government was the first in history to weaponize federal agencies against its opponents.
Harris may be unlikely to take up RFK on his offer because at this point in the race he actually benefits her by staying in the race, and public and private polls have now revealed that he has began to siphon support away from Trump.
Kennedy maintains far-left views on a multitude of subjects, including his desire to allow abortions up to the moment of birth.
He has consistently stated in the past that he would like to imprison climate change denialists, sign legislation to restrict semi-automatic rifles, and has also promised to cut US military expenditure in half while China quickly develops its own military potential.
