In a new interview broadcast late Sunday, former President Trump criticized Vice President Harris, describing her treatment of former Vice President Mike Pence during a debate as “horrible” and referring to her as “vicious.”
During an interview on Fox News’s “Life, Liberty and Levin,” Trump highlighted a memorable moment from the 2020 vice presidential debate. He recalled how Harris firmly responded to Pence’s interruption with the phrase, “Mr. Vice President, I’m speaking.”
“Now they have Kamala, who they say has many deficiencies, but she’s a nasty person. The way she treated Mike Pence was horrible. The way she treats people is horrible,” Trump said.
The relationship between Trump and Pence became more strained as their time in the White House came to a close.
In early 2021, the situation reached a critical point when Pence stood firm and declined to overturn the 2020 election results, despite facing pressure from Trump and his allies.
Pence also made a presidential bid to challenge Trump for this year’s GOP nomination, but was unsuccessful.
After taking over from Biden as the Democratic Party’s candidate, Harris has swiftly gained momentum, and now poses a significant challenge to Trump’s former comfortable lead over Biden.
