Bill O’Reilly reportedly claimed that a “very emotional” Donald Trump is undermining his own campaign with a “lack” of “discipline” in his rhetoric.

On Monday evening, O’Reilly spoke with NewsNation’s Leland Vittert on the ongoing presidential race.

“Has Kamala Harris figured out how to bring out the very worst in Donald Trump?” Vittert asked O’Reilly.

“Trump will bring out the very worst without any help,” he said in response.

While O’Reilly claimed that Trump is “afraid” of Vice President Kamala Harris, he did point out some basic blunders the campaign has made.

The former president has faced criticism for making more personal attacks on Harris, focusing on her laugh and how she has presented her race.

O’Reilly, a former Fox News personality, suggested that the Trump team is overcomplicating its narrative.

He stated that the campaign should focus solely on concerns such as inflation and the southern border.

The other factor affecting Trump is Trump himself, according to O’Reilly, who describes the former president as a “very emotional guy” whose performance for the day is entirely determined by his mood.

“One thing I know about Donald Trump is he’s a very emotional guy. People don’t think he’s emotional, but he is, and if he’s having a bad day, that bad day’s going to come out during a rally or an interview.” O’Reilly said.
