The campaign of former President Donald Trump has now reportedly announced that he will not participate in any debates with Vice President Kamala Harris at this time due to the possibility that the Democrats may select another nominee.

Harris is the presumptive Democratic nominee following the termination of President Joe Biden’s reelection campaign on Sunday.

Trump’s campaign issued a statement on Thursday night that expressed its dissatisfaction with the late change and indicated that Democrats could exclude Harris from the convention in Chicago next month.

“Given the continued political chaos surrounding Crooked Joe Biden and the Democrat Party, general election debate details cannot be finalized until Democrats formally decide on their nominee. There is a strong sense by many in the Democrat Party – namely Barack Hussein Obama – that Kamala Harris is a Marxist fraud who cannot beat President Trump, and they are still holding out for someone ‘better.’ Therefore, it would be inappropriate to schedule things with Harris because Democrats very well could still change their minds.” the statement read.

The second debate, scheduled for September 10, had been agreed upon by Trump and Biden.

Harris cited an earlier pledge from the Trump campaign regarding the debates in response.

On Sunday, approximately three weeks following a disastrous debate performance, Biden terminated his campaign.

Many Democrats were alarmed by the spectacle, and donors withheld contributions until a change was implemented.

Biden consented to resign in anticipation of the August nominating convention, as he was subjected to an extensive pressure campaign from prominent Democratic figures.
