After a long hiatus from the public spotlight, former First Lady Melania Trump has finally made a public appearance alongside her husband. Her long absence had been the topic of conversation among friends and foes alike.

“After largely maintaining a low profile this year—including skipping all of Donald Trump’s indictments—the former first lady was pictured at the event in Florida wearing a black dress and greeting guests.

For the former president’s part, he entered the party to Metallica’s “Enter Sandman” and was photographed giving a thumbs-up alongside one guest who’d apparently come dressed as President Joe Biden,” writes The Daily Beast. “The event was the first time the Trumps had been seen together since an Easter brunch at the estate in April.”

Melania’s disappearance from the public had become conspicuous. “The former First Lady’s absence from multiple Trump arraignments, court dates, and campaign rallies was so conspicuous that one of Donald’s 2024 rivals taunted him by distributing “missing” posters for Melania at a recent event in Iowa,” according to one outlet.

As he typically does, The Don’s Halloween fest was one for the ages. The former president entered as “Enter Sandman” by Metallica blasted and he had fun playing DJ.

“Videos and photos posted to social media show a wild affair,” reported The Daily Mail. “Actors dressed as Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs paraded around the property. Laser lights flashed into the ballroom as a fog machine provided a smoky atmosphere. The club’s ornate ballroom was lit with red lights. Witches danced around and there was even a guest dressed as Joe Biden.

The couple appeared relaxed as they strolled through the dining room, despite several key family members – including Trump’s sons Donald Jr and Eric – preparing to take the stand in their father’s civil fraud trial in New York in the next two days.

The former president appeared jovial as he posed for pictures and selfies. And he indulged in his love of DJing, a talent that has come out in his post-presidency years. He said last year that his top song for getting people on the dance floor is ‘Y.M.C.A.’ by the Village People.

‘People love it when I do it,’ Trump told YouTubers the NELK Boys for their ‘Full Send Podcast.’

‘You know what gets ’em rocking? ‘Y.M.C.A.,’ Trump said. ‘Y.M.C.A.,” the gay national anthem. Did you ever hear that? They call it the gay national anthem. But ‘Y.M.C.A.’ gets people up, and it gets ’em moving.”’

The Halloween party likely helped take trouble off of Trump’s mind. Reports say he seemed at ease while enjoying the affair, but his legal issues in New York could put his family business in jeopardy. His sons, Donald Jr and Eric testified in the case earlier in the week.
