Former President Donald Trump reportedly intends to skip the second Republican primary debate in California in order to speak to striking autoworkers in Detroit on the same night.
The timetable in question implies the GOP frontrunner would skip a second debate with his Republican opponents.
Trump skipped last month’s Fox News debate in order to speak with former Fox News personality Tucker Carlson.
Though the actual time and location of Trump’s speech are unknown, he is expected to address hundreds of current and former union members from the auto sector and beyond.
The president of the United Auto Workers, Shawn Fain, has not endorsed President Joe Biden for a second term, but also does not appear to be a Trump supporter.
The second Republican debate will be held on September 27 at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library in Simi Valley, California.
