Tucker Carlson, a conservative media personality, reportedly predicted in a new interview that former President Trump could be assassinated, days after asking Trump himself if he was concerned about such a possibility.
The commentator’s remarks were made a week after Carlson moderated an interview with Trump that was posted on X, the website that replaced Twitter.
“Begin with criticism, then you go to protest, then you go to impeachment, now you go to indictment, and none of them work. I mean what’s next?” Carlson said during an interview with comedian Adam Corolla.
“You know, graph it out man! We’re speeding toward assassination, obviously. No one will say that, but I don’t know how you can’t reach that conclusion.” he continued.

Given the numerous congressional and criminal investigations he has faced recently, Carlson explicitly asked Trump during the interview if he believed he could potentially be targeted by an assassin.
“Are you worried that they’re going to try and kill you? Why wouldn’t they try and kill you? Honestly,” Carlson asked the former president.
“They’re savage animals; they’re people that are sick,” Trump responded.
So far this year, Donald Trump has been charged four times in relation to his personal business operations in New York, management of sensitive information in Florida, and alleged attempts to interfere with the 2020 election in Georgia and Washington, D.C.
The front-runner for the GOP nomination for president in 2024, Trump skipped last week’s Fox News-broadcast first Republican primary debate in favor of the interview with Carlson.
