Vice President JD Vance recently praised American manufacturers during a visit to Vantage Plastics in Standish, Michigan.

He emphasized the importance of manufacturing in the U.S., stating that “making things, building things,” and “working with our hands is America’s heritage.”

Vance expressed his appreciation for being away from the political environment in Washington, D.C., and reflected on his upbringing in Middletown, Ohio.

During his speech, Vance highlighted the critical role of companies like Vantage Plastics in making the Great Lakes region a leader in American industry.

He asserted that the nation’s success relies on the prosperity of its manufacturers, warning that failure to protect these businesses would threaten the core identity of the American people.

Vance also praised the accomplishments of the Trump administration, contrasting them with the current administration’s economic policies.

He noted that in its first month, the Trump administration created 10,000 manufacturing jobs. He promised tax cuts, reduced regulations, and lower energy costs for businesses investing in U.S. manufacturing.

Addressing a group of protesters outside the event, some of whom held signs reading “Traitor Vance,” he questioned their presence during working hours, suggesting that rebuilding American manufacturing would help them find jobs and get off the streets.

Vance’s remarks highlighted a commitment to revitalizing U.S. manufacturing and supporting American workers.

He reiterated that investing in domestic production is essential for the country’s economic future, asserting that the administration would offer no support to those seeking to undermine American industry by moving operations abroad.

His visit underscored a broader focus on strengthening the manufacturing sector as a cornerstone of American identity and economic stability.
