Vice President JD Vance reportedly stated that the Trump administration will continue to deport criminal illegal aliens without seeking approval from “far-left Democrats.”
In an appearance on “Fox & Friends,” Vance discussed the administration’s deportation initiatives, which have resulted in the transfer of suspected gang members, including affiliates of MS-13 and Tren de Aragua, to a mega-prison in El Salvador.
Amid criticism from Democrats claiming that Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) is failing to adequately vet individuals prior to deportation, Vance addressed a specific case brought up by the opposition.
He explained that some individuals portrayed by Democrats as innocent have criminal backgrounds.
Referring to an example from 2019, Vance highlighted how an immigration judge found that a deported individual was, in fact, a member of MS-13 and had committed offenses such as traffic violations and missed court dates.
Vance emphasized that the administration prioritizes the American people’s safety over political concerns, declaring, “We do not ask permission from far-left Democrats before we deport illegal immigrants.”
He criticized the Democrats’ focus, arguing that they show more concern for deported criminals than for the victims of their crimes.
He pointed to the case of Jocelyn Nungaray, a murder victim, expressing disbelief that Democrats are more disturbed by the deportation of her murderer than by the crime itself.
Vance’s remarks underscore a broader Republican frustration with how Democrats perceived issues of immigration enforcement and public safety, reinforcing the administration’s commitment to aggressive deportation policies in the face of political opposition.
