President Donald Trump is scheduled to deliver a tribute Tuesday at the funeral of Sen. Lindsey Graham, the longtime South Carolina Republican who died suddenly on July 11.
Graham will first be honored by fellow senators during a ceremony in the Rotunda of the U.S. Capitol. His remains will then be taken to Washington National Cathedral, where a funeral service is scheduled to begin at 2 p.m., according to the president’s office.
A second memorial service is planned Wednesday in Graham’s home state of South Carolina. Both services will be available to the public by livestream.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy are expected to attend the Washington funeral, according to reports. Both leaders are also scheduled to meet with Trump as the administration weighs its policies toward the conflicts involving Ukraine and Iran.
Graham met with Zelenskyy in Kyiv the day before his death and had been working to advance Senate legislation that would impose stronger sanctions on Russia. A prominent supporter of Ukraine, Graham had visited the country at least 10 times since Russia launched its full-scale invasion in February 2022.
Earlier in his career, Graham strongly supported the Iraq war under President George W. Bush. He remained a consistent ally of Israel throughout his years in Congress, including during the war in Gaza, which critics have described as a genocide against the Palestinian population.
Graham also praised Trump’s strikes on Iranian nuclear facilities the previous year and supported the joint U.S.-Israeli military campaign against Iran that began in late February.
