At the annual Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC), President Donald Trump reportedly delivered a forceful critique of the Biden administration, highlighting what he described as a series of failures across domestic and foreign policy.
Addressing a crowd of supporters, Trump painted a bleak picture of the country’s condition under Biden’s leadership, citing economic struggles, rising crime, and an unchecked border crisis.
Trump asserted that under Biden, inflation had surged, making everyday life more expensive for Americans, while wages struggled to keep up.
He also pointed to what he called reckless spending policies that had driven up the national debt and weakened the economy. The president blamed these economic issues on what he views as mismanagement and a disregard for fiscal responsibility.
“He was ‘sleepy Joe,’ but he was crooked as hell. He was a sleepy, crooked guy. He was a terrible, terrible president. He was the worst president in the history of our country — I don’t care, I’ll say it.” Trump said.
“I have to clean up the mess, I’m cleaning up the mess, and it is a mess — on the border, with inflation. Every single thing he touched turned to s*** — everything.” he added.
Immigration was another key issue in his speech, with Trump criticizing the Biden administration’s handling of the southern border.
He argued that weak policies had led to record-high illegal crossings, jeopardizing national security and straining public resources.
Now, under his renewed leadership, he vowed to restore strong border enforcement, deport illegal immigrants at unprecedented levels, and end sanctuary city protections that he says have allowed criminals to remain in the country.
Trump also addressed foreign policy, claiming that Biden’s approach had emboldened adversaries and weakened America’s global standing.
He pointed to conflicts abroad and suggested that weak leadership had allowed these situations to escalate. In contrast, he promised a return to strong, decisive leadership that prioritizes American interests.
Looking ahead, Trump framed the 2024 election as a battle to reclaim the country from the policies he sees as disastrous.
He pledged to reverse Biden-era decisions and restore policies that emphasize law and order, economic growth, and national security, urging voters to rally behind his vision for America’s future.
