President Donald Trump on Wednesday reportedly declared that “everyone is loving Israel again” after announcing a breakthrough peace agreement between Israel and Hamas, calling the deal a “beautiful picture” and “a great day for peace in the Middle East.”
Speaking by phone with Fox News host Sean Hannity, Trump described the agreement as a global triumph for diplomacy and stability. “It’s brought the whole world together. It’s amazing. I’ve never seen anything — it’s so good for Israel,” he said.
The president said he had spoken with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu shortly before the interview. “He called, he said, ‘I can’t believe it.’ He said, ‘Everybody’s liking me now,’ meaning him,” Trump recalled. “I said, ‘More importantly, they’re loving Israel again,’ and they really are. I said, ‘Israel cannot fight the world, Bibi, they can’t fight the world,’ and he understands that very well.”
Trump suggested the peace deal had been made possible through a unique combination of strength, diplomacy, and timing. “It’s amazing the way it’s all come together and it’s a beautiful picture,” he said. “I don’t know if it could ever happen again. It was just a set of circumstances — like, for instance, taking out the nuclear, the potential nuclear power of Iran. So many different things happened that were so amazing. It’s a lot of talent involved, I’ll tell you, but there was a certain degree of luck too. You know, you need luck also. There is such a thing as luck.”
In a Truth Social post Wednesday evening, Trump announced that “Israel and Hamas have both signed off on the first Phase of our Peace Plan.” According to the statement, the plan marks the first formal agreement between the two sides in decades of hostilities.
“This means that ALL of the Hostages will be released very soon,” Trump wrote, “and Israel will withdraw their Troops to an agreed upon line as the first steps toward a Strong, Durable, and Everlasting Peace.”
He described the accord as a triumph for all involved. “All Parties will be treated fairly! This is a GREAT Day for the Arab and Muslim World, Israel, all surrounding Nations, and the United States of America,” Trump said.
He also extended gratitude to international mediators who helped facilitate the talks, crediting Qatar, Egypt, and Turkey for their involvement. “We thank the mediators from Qatar, Egypt, and Turkey, who worked with us to make this Historic and Unprecedented Event happen,” Trump wrote. “BLESSED ARE THE PEACEMAKERS!”
The peace agreement represents a dramatic development in the region’s history, bringing together longtime adversaries under a framework brokered by Washington. While the details of the accord have not yet been released, Trump’s announcement marks a major diplomatic moment for his administration and for America’s role as a stabilizing force in the Middle East.
For Trump, who has long framed his foreign policy as rooted in strength and pragmatism, the deal stands as a vindication of his approach. “It’s brought the whole world together,” he told Hannity. “It’s amazing.”
