Steve Bannon pronounced the “escalation” in the MAGA world between himself and others versus Elon Musk on the subject of immigration as “good” during a recent episode of his “war room” podcast.
Bannon responded to Laura Loomer, a fellow Musk critic, on his WarRoom podcast, stating that it is “unfortunate” that tensions have escalated and criticizing Musk for his “abuse” of the “MAGA base.”
Bannon and Loomer are both opposed to H-1B, a work visa program that is frequently employed in the technology sector.
Bannon has advocated for the program’s complete abolition, while Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy, a fellow supporter of President-elect Donald Trump, have defended it, asserting that the American workforce is lacking in skills.
Loomer was previously denied access to her X account and had her verification insignia removed on the platform as a result of her criticism of Musk.

Musk has advocated for the removal of “contemptible fools” from the Republican Party and has received criticism for endorsing a post that referred to American laborers as “retarded.”
Bannon has previously referred to Musk as a “toddler” and has explicitly stated to Loomer that he has no intention of compromising or slowing down.
The former Trump advisor contended that the work visa program is inconsistent with Trump’s immigration agenda, which includes widespread deportations.
“It’s unfortunate that things have escalated the way that they have escalated, but we’ll see. Hopefully, I’m reinstated and hopefully I’m remonetized,” Loomer remarked.
“I think escalation’s good. When we get down to it, remember they’re the ones backpedaling and, like I said, when an enemy’s in retreat, fix bayonets and pursue,” Bannon said in response.
“When I say it’s unfortunate things have escalated, it’s unfortunate that the MAGA base has had to sustain abuse from the richest man in the world, being called retardsa and saying, you know, F-you in the face,” Loomer stated.
“We’re battle-hardened [after] over a decade of fighting, people are — hey, it’s nothing,” Bannon concluded.
