A growing divide among prominent media personalities on the right spilled into public view Friday as broadcaster Piers Morgan and Fox News host Mark Levin exchanged sharp personal attacks over the future of the Republican Party and the political consequences of disagreements surrounding President Donald Trump.

The dispute began after Morgan responded on X to comments Levin made during a recent broadcast about the potential impact internal Republican divisions could have on upcoming elections.

Levin argued that if Democrats regain control of the House of Representatives following the midterm elections, responsibility would fall in part on a group of commentators and political figures he accused of undermining both Trump and the broader MAGA movement.

Among those Levin singled out were Tucker Carlson, Megyn Kelly, Matt Gaetz, Steve Bannon, and Morgan.

“If — I’m not saying when — if the Democrats take the House and if they take it I blame a number of things, including the woke right,” Levin said before listing several prominent names.

The comments highlighted a growing debate within conservative circles over how supporters of the president should handle disagreements with the administration, particularly regarding the ongoing conflict involving Iran.

Levin argued that while disagreements with Trump are inevitable, critics should approach those disagreements with greater deference and respect.

According to Levin, he and others who support the president sometimes differ with Trump on policy matters but avoid direct attacks on either the president or his positions.

“We understand his positions so we don’t attack him or even attack his positions,” Levin said, adding that he believes Trump is a patriot who loves the country.

His remarks reflected a view shared by some Trump supporters who argue that public criticism from influential conservative voices can weaken political unity at a time when Republicans are preparing for important electoral battles.

Morgan quickly pushed back against Levin’s characterization.

In a post on X, Morgan dismissed the accusation as “laughable” and rejected Levin’s effort to place him within what the Fox News host described as the “woke right.”

Morgan also challenged Levin’s prediction about the causes of potential Republican losses.

“Laughable,” Morgan wrote. “A) I’m not ‘right’ – woke or otherwise.”

He then argued that if Republicans suffer setbacks in future elections, the blame would rest not with critics of Trump but with those advocating a more aggressive approach to foreign policy.

Morgan specifically pointed to what he called “war-mongering imbeciles” as the source of potential political damage.

The exchange underscored how disagreements over foreign policy, particularly the conflict involving Iran, have become one of the most contentious fault lines among conservatives.

While many Republicans continue to support the administration’s overall objectives, others have raised concerns about the costs and consequences associated with prolonged overseas conflicts. Those concerns have fueled increasingly public disagreements among commentators, elected officials, and activists who otherwise share broad support for many of Trump’s domestic priorities.

Levin responded forcefully to Morgan’s criticism.

In a subsequent post, he escalated the dispute by accusing Morgan of being part of what he called the “Woke Reich.”

When Morgan denied being associated with that label, Levin replied with another personal attack, mocking Morgan while insisting he wanted to be “accurate” in his description.

The heated back-and-forth reflected more than a simple social media argument. It showcased an increasingly visible debate over the direction of the conservative movement, the limits of dissent within political coalitions, and the question of how Republicans should navigate disagreements over foreign policy as the next election cycle approaches.

For now, the disagreement remains a war of words, but it illustrates the tensions emerging within a movement attempting to balance loyalty to a president with differing views on some of the most consequential issues facing the country.
