Catholic Church Elects New Pope

The Catholic Church has now reportedly elected a new pope. The news was revealed as white smoke, the signal of the election of a new pope, was seen rising from the Sistine Chapel.

The identity of the new pope has now been revealed but will be shortly.

Cardinal Robert Francis Prevost has been elected as the first American pope, taking the name Pope Leo XIV.

The announcement was made on May 8, 2025, marking a historic moment for the Catholic Church as Prevost becomes the 267th pope and will lead approximately 1.4 billion Catholics worldwide.
