Steve Bannon, former chief strategist for Donald Trump, reportedly expressed his belief that Trump will run for and win a third term in the White House during an interview.

Bannon stated that he and his team are actively working on strategies to make this happen. When asked if he harbored any presidential ambitions of his own, Bannon affirmed his support for Trump, calling him a once-in-a-century leader.

Bannon acknowledged Trump’s term limit but hinted at potential alternatives, suggesting that they are exploring interpretations of what “term limit” might mean.

“We’re working on it. I think we’ll have a couple of alternatives, let’s say that. We’ll see what the definition of term limit is.” Bannon said.

He emphasized his confidence in the endeavor, stating that they have navigated challenging situations before and have various plans in place, though he refrained from sharing specific details at this time.

During the conversation, Bannon underscored that his intentions are not insurrectionist in nature, despite the significant implications of his claims.

He aimed to clarify any misconceptions, reminding viewers that he believes in a political movement focused on reforming the government rather than revolutionary tactics.

“So you’re talking about litigating this issue, because I don’t want people to listen to our interview and say, ‘Bannon’s cooking up an insurrection.’ You know what I mean? I want people to get a straight take on where your head is.” Cuomo asked.

“Chris, as you know, I’ve had greater long shots than this. We’ve had greater long shots than Trump 2028 and we’ve got a lot of stuff we’re working on there. We’re not prepared to talk about it publicly, but in a couple months I think we will be.” Bannon said in response.

Bannon likened the current political climate to historical movements advocating for change, framing it as a “revolution of common sense” aimed at dismantling the bureaucratic structure of the administrative state.

While he maintained his support for Trump, Bannon’s comments sparked intrigue regarding how they intend to approach the challenges posed by the current presidential term limits.
