The D.C. Bar Association’s disciplinary committee reportedly recommended disbarring former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani for his “destructive” behavior in the run-up to the 2020 election.
Giuliani was found to have severely harmed the legal system by pursuing “frivolous” and “destructive” litigation during the 2020 election, according to a 40-page ruling by the District of Columbia Board on Professional Responsibility committee.
Despite Giuliani’s legal attempts on behalf of President Donald Trump to support his claims of election fraud, judges rejected them.
Giuliani’s earlier successes were regrettably remembered in the verdict, but it was stated that his actions in 2020 outstripped them all.
The matter will subsequently be resolved by the D.C. Court of Appeals once Giuliani files an appeal.
Giuliani has claimed that the short time period given for election challenges in 2020 caused him to hasten his efforts and that the panelists’ comments were personal jabs.
