Two staffers working for Republican Michigan Senate nominee Mike Rogers are registered foreign agents doing work on behalf of the State of Israel, according to a report published late Sunday by Drop Site News.

The revelation landed just as former Democratic primary candidate Rep. Haley Stevens stunned Michigan politics by endorsing Rogers over Democratic nominee Abdul El-Sayed. Standing behind the two politicians at that event was Abigail Ronson, a spokeswoman and paid consultant for the Rogers campaign.

Ronson is one of two registered Israeli agents on the campaign, the outlet reported. Foreign Agents Registration Act filings from May show her registered as a foreign agent for Israel, doing work for Havas Media under Brad Parscale’s Clock Tower X LLC.

Parscale, who managed President Trump’s 2020 reelection campaign, is himself a registered agent for Israel’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, according to Drop Site.

The second staffer, communications specialist Jesse Stokes, registered as a foreign agent in October 2025 as part of the same Havas contract. Document metadata reviewed by Drop Site indicates Stokes appears to have authored the press releases announcing Rogers’ Senate run.

According to the report, Parscale recruited Ronson, a digital communications specialist at Convergence Media, along with 14 other Convergence staffers, to push pro-Israel messaging on social media and even feed pro-Israel information into large language models. That work was part of a $46.5 million contract with the Israeli government.

Ronson also worked for Rogers through Convergence Media, which has collected millions of dollars from the Rogers campaign during the 2026 cycle, according to Federal Election Commission filings cited by Drop Site.

The outlet reported that Ronson appears to have been behind the much-mocked AI-altered campaign image showing a noticeably buff Rogers that circulated this summer. She also reportedly helped organize a press conference for a group calling itself “Democrats for Mike Rogers.”

The Great Lakes Conservatives Fund, the largest financial backer of that group, has donated more than $4 million so far. The fund has a history of working with Eyesover LLC, an AI company run by Parscale that he used for his Israel-related FARA work, Drop Site reported.

Back in June, the Daily Caller first reported that Parscale had mistakenly registered Clock Tower X as working directly for Israel in his FARA filings before correcting them to list an Israeli media company as the client.

The Michigan Senate race has been one of the most closely watched contests in the country. El-Sayed edged Stevens by just one percentage point in the August Democratic primary, a far tighter finish than many expected.

AIPAC and its affiliated groups spent tens of millions of dollars backing Stevens in that primary. Now the pro-Israel lobby is pouring millions more into the general election to help Rogers defeat El-Sayed, an outspoken critic of Israel’s military campaign in Gaza.

Stevens’ Sunday endorsement of a Republican just two days before the midterms sent shockwaves through Michigan’s Democratic establishment.

The Rogers campaign did not respond to a request for comment from the Daily Caller News Foundation.

Michigan voters head to the polls Tuesday in a race that could help decide control of the U.S. Senate.
