President Donald Trump turned to artificial intelligence and satire Wednesday night, posting an AI-generated video to Truth Social that portrays himself as a doctor treating a fictional condition he calls “Trump Derangement Syndrome.”

The approximately 90-second video features AI-created versions of several well-known celebrities who have publicly criticized the president, presenting them as mock patients seeking treatment for the tongue-in-cheek ailment.

The clip opens with an AI-generated Trump dressed in a physician’s white coat addressing viewers directly.

“Have you or someone you know been diagnosed with TDS?” the AI version of the president asks.

He continues by describing the fictional condition before offering a humorous solution.

“The symptoms can be relentless. Fortunately, I’m Doctor Trump, and I have a treatment plan,” the AI-generated president says as the video transitions to a series of celebrity testimonials.

Among those featured is an AI-generated version of actor Robert De Niro, who claims he struggled with constant anger.

“I couldn’t eat, I couldn’t sleep, constantly angry… I made everyone miserable around me,” the fabricated De Niro says in the video.

An AI-generated version of actress Julia Roberts follows, claiming she feels as though she has “aged 20 years in the last two years” and saying she had begun worrying about her future.

The spoof also includes AI versions of comedian Rosie O’Donnell and The View co-host Whoopi Goldberg.

The AI-generated O’Donnell says she has been “suffering for over a decade,” while the fabricated Goldberg says she believed she was a “lost cause.”

Actors Edward Norton and John Leguizamo, both of whom have also been vocal critics of Trump, appear in the video as part of the fictional treatment sequence.

The punchline comes near the end of the video when the AI-generated Trump finally reveals his mock prescription.

“Turn off fake news,” he says. “Say your prayers and, if you ever feel anxious, just have a Diet Coke like me and you’re gonna see a remarkable difference in your life.”

The video builds on one of Trump’s longtime political catchphrases. Throughout his political career, the president has frequently accused critics and political opponents of suffering from what he calls “Trump Derangement Syndrome,” often using the phrase to dismiss persistent criticism directed at him.

Earlier this year, Trump referenced the expression from the Oval Office, saying he had heard the condition “actually is a disease.”

Many of the celebrities featured in the AI-generated video have been among Trump’s most outspoken public critics over the years.

De Niro has previously described Trump as an “existential threat to our freedoms and security,” while Goldberg said during the 2024 presidential campaign that Trump wanted to become a “dictator for life.”

Trump’s public feud with Rosie O’Donnell stretches back roughly two decades and has remained one of the most well-known celebrity rivalries involving the president.

Julia Roberts also entered the political spotlight during the 2024 election by narrating a voter outreach advertisement supporting then-Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris during her campaign against Trump.

The AI-generated video marks another example of Trump using social media to blend humor, political messaging and emerging technology to engage supporters while taking aim at some of his most prominent critics. By casting himself as “Doctor Trump” and portraying celebrity opponents as fictional patients, the president leaned into a phrase that has become a familiar part of his political rhetoric while delivering another satirical jab at figures who have repeatedly spoken out against him.
