Eric Trump, executive vice president of The Trump Organization and a trustee of the Donald J. Trump Presidential Library Foundation, on Tuesday released the first public renderings of the planned Donald J. Trump Presidential Library and Museum, offering a detailed look at what the family envisions as a waterfront landmark in Miami honoring the 47th president.
In a post on Twitter, Eric Trump described the project as a “lasting testament to an amazing man, an amazing developer, and the greatest President our Nation has ever known.” The post included a roughly one-minute, 40-second video showcasing conceptual designs featuring gold-lettered towers, expansive marina views, large interior halls, aviation exhibits resembling a full-scale Air Force One, and spaces modeled after elements of the White House. The renderings depict a high-rise complex combining museum space with luxury design features along downtown Miami’s waterfront.

The proposed site is a 2.63-acre parcel next to the historic Freedom Tower on Biscayne Boulevard. The land, previously a parking lot owned by Miami Dade College, was transferred in late 2025 to the Trump Presidential Library Foundation for $10, with the condition that construction begin within five years. The foundation now owns the property, though legal challenges tied to the transfer remain ongoing, with a trial previously scheduled for August 2026.
Eric Trump has previously described the project as “one of the most beautiful buildings ever built” and an “icon on the Miami skyline,” contrasting it with the Obama Presidential Center in Chicago. The new renderings emphasize scale and opulence, including a potential high-rise tower—reportedly discussed as reaching 47 stories—alongside hotel components and public exhibits intended to attract visitors. Plans under discussion suggest the project could include more commercial elements than traditional presidential libraries, potentially incorporating hospitality and mixed-use features.
Tax filings from the foundation outline plans to raise nearly $1 billion through private donations, grants, and other contributions over several years. Supporters say the project could boost tourism and create jobs in a prime downtown location. Critics, however, have raised concerns about the use of publicly owned land for a development tied to the Trump family brand, as well as questions about the transparency and legality of the land transfer.
The video quickly drew millions of views online within hours of its release, generating strong reactions across social media. Supporters praised the design as a fitting tribute, while critics questioned the scope and timing of the project and compared it to other presidential libraries.
No groundbreaking date has been announced, and the renderings remain conceptual. A website linked in the announcement appears aimed at sharing updates and soliciting support as planning continues.
Unlike traditional presidential libraries, which are typically funded privately but operated in partnership with the National Archives and Records Administration under the Presidential Libraries Act, the Trump project appears to adopt a broader, more commercially oriented model aligned with the president’s background in real estate development.
