President Donald Trump reportedly launched a scathing attack on Democratic Congressman Shri Thanedar, who recently introduced articles of impeachment against him.

In a late-night post on Truth Social, Trump referred to Thanedar and his co-sponsors as “no name” and “total whackjobs,” criticizing their attempts to impeach him for the third time.

Thanedar’s resolution drew co-sponsors from notable Democrats, including Jerry Nadler and Jan Schakowsky, but they quickly withdrew their support.

Despite the lack of backing from the majority of House Democrats, Trump’s reaction indicated that the issue was weighing heavily on his mind.

He expressed his frustration, stating, “The Democrats are really out of control. They have lost everything, especially their minds!”

Trump questioned the rationale behind the impeachment effort, pointing out that the congressmen did not specify the reasons for their actions.

He suggested that perhaps they should be impeached for issues like the border crisis, inflation, or the chaotic withdrawal from Afghanistan.

Trump argued that such impeachment attempts are just political maneuvers that distract from his administration’s efforts to address significant national issues.

He further claimed that the Democrats’ use of impeachment as a weapon against him is part of the same strategy employed during his first term.

Trump called for Republicans to consider expelling the congressmen for what he deemed their own misconduct, asserting that they are dishonest and detrimental to the nation’s healing process.

The president’s fiery remarks reflect his ongoing battle with Democratic lawmakers and his determination to portray himself as a victim of political attacks. Trump was impeached twice during his previous term but was acquitted both times by the Senate.
