During a recent cabinet meeting, Linda McMahon, the Secretary of Education, reportedly humorously told President Donald Trump that she has “never worked so hard to try to fire myself.”

Trump recalled his expectations when he nominated McMahon, stating, “I hope you do a great job and put yourself out of a job.”

Additionally, McMahon announced that the department would begin collecting on student loans that have been delinquent since March 2020, starting May 5.
