In a major operation early Sunday morning, the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) reportedly led a multi-agency raid on an underground nightclub in Colorado Springs linked to the Tren de Aragua gang.
The raid, which involved collaboration with the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and the Justice Department, resulted in the arrest of over 100 illegal immigrants, along with the seizure of drugs and weapons.
The DEA shared footage of the operation, highlighting the extensive cooperation among federal and local agencies. Stephen Miller, Deputy Chief of Staff to President Donald Trump, confirmed the raid, stating it targeted a nightclub used by illegal aliens and gang members.
Attorney General Pam Bondi reported that those apprehended included individuals associated with MS-13 and that various narcotics, including cocaine and methamphetamine, were confiscated.
Bondi emphasized the raid’s significance, linking it to Trump’s broader strategy to enhance national safety as the administration approaches its 100-day mark. She noted, “Trump’s directive to make America safe again is achieving results.”
Fox News correspondent Bill Melugin mentioned that multiple agencies, including the IRS Criminal Investigations and ICE, participated in the operation, reflecting a comprehensive federal approach to immigration enforcement.
The DHS underscored its commitment to restoring law and order, stating, “The party is OVER. Law and order has returned.”
This raid follows closely on the heels of Operation Tidal Wave in Florida, which led to the capture of around 800 illegal aliens.
Overall, this coordinated effort represents a significant step in the ongoing crackdown on organized crime and illegal immigration, showcasing the federal government’s determination to address these pressing issues.
