On Tuesday evening, President Donald Trump reportedly made the announcement that he had ordered the immediate dismissal of every single United States Attorney who served during the “Biden era.”

He made this announcement while accusing his predecessor of politicizing the Department of Justice.

“Over the past four years, the Department of Justice has been politicized like never before. Therefore, I have instructed the termination of ALL remaining ‘Biden Era’ U.S. Attorneys. We must ‘clean house’ IMMEDIATELY, and restore confidence. America’s Golden Age must have a fair Justice System – THAT BEGINS TODAY!” Trump wrote on his Truth Social account.

A little after six o’clock Eastern Time, and following his press conference in South Florida, President Trump announced that prosecutors will be fired in order to usher in a more equitable justice system.

Just a few seconds prior to the announcement, President Trump had criticized the House select committee that was investigating the violence that occurred on January 6 in the Capitol.

Trump spent the entirety of his campaign for the 2024 election accusing former Vice President Joe Biden of using the legal system as a weapon against him.

The indictment of Donald Trump in two federal cases occurred before to his victory in the election.

The first case was related to the actions that occurred prior to January 6, and the second case was over his handling of secret documents after he left the White House.

As an example of “lawfare,” the president and his associates referred to those instances as well as two state criminal cases that were being investigated in Georgia and New York.

The declaration that Trump made on Tuesday came at a time when his own Department of Justice was dealing with a large number of resignations following the decision to dismiss a federal corruption investigation against New York City Mayor Eric Adams.

Following Adams’s agreement to collaborate with the Trump administration on the issue of illegal immigration, this order was issued.

It is possible that Adams’s case could be brought back to life because the charges against him were dropped without prejudice.
