A House ethics investigation has now been released, and it contains allegations that Matt Gaetz broke Florida state laws by engaging in sexual activity with a minor and using drugs.

Gaez is the former Republican representative from the House of Representatives who recently resigned from his position when President-elect Donald Trump nominated him for the position of Attorney General.

This decision was made despite the fact that a cloud was hanging over his political future due to the ethics report that was previously classified.

The report, on the other hand, was purportedly going to be made public as early as Monday, according to a vote that took place behind closed doors late last week.

According to a final copy of a comprehensive investigative report, an ethics inquiry that showed the former congressman to have paid multiple women, including a girl who was 17 years old, for sex.

Additionally, the investigation discovered that the former congressman had acquired and used illegal narcotics, including from his office on Capitol Hill throughout the course of the probe.

Gaetz brought a lawsuit against the committee on Monday, claiming that he is now a private individual and is not subject to the committee’s jurisdiction.

The action was filed in federal court with the intention of preventing the report from being released. After a short period of time, the committee made the report public however.

Following Trump’s announcement in November that he intended to nominate Gaetz for attorney general, Gaetz resigned from his position in Congress.

Gaetz withdrew from consideration one week later after encountering criticism from some of his fellow Republicans.

Gaetz’s controversial career on Capitol Hill, during which he became one of the most outspoken and confrontational members of the pro-Trump faction in Congress, has come to an end, at least for the time being, as a result of the release of the ethics report.
