After withdrawing from President-elect Donald Trump’s nomination for attorney general, former Representative Matt Gaetz is now reportedly slated to become an anchor for the pro-Trump One American News Network (OAN).
This comes immediately after Gaetz’s withdrawal from the nomination.
Kristen Holmes, a national correspondent for CNN, said on Monday evening that Gaetz was anticipated to join One America News Network as an anchor. She cited an unnamed source who was acquainted with the situation.

Following Trump’s nomination of Gaetz to serve as the future attorney general of the United States, Gaetz abruptly resigned from his position in Congress one month ago.
Despite this, Gaetz withdrew his name from consideration not long after the nomination was announced.
This was in response to Trump’s statement that there were not sufficient votes in the Senate to proceed with his confirmation.
He had been the focus of an investigation by the House Ethics Committee, which was looking into whether or not he had sexual relations with a girl who was 17 years old.
The Department of Justice conducted an investigation into the allegation as well, but they decided not to press charges. Is he denying any wrongdoing?
Gaetz was a guest host for Newsmax, a network that competed with OAN, on multiple occasions in 2023. At one point, Newsmax even outperformed CNN in terms of viewership.
